ADDITIONAL RAINY SEASON OUTLOOK FOR 2010 (FROM AUGUST TO OCTOBER)

-Tropical Cyclone (TCs):
In 2010, the number of TCs activities on Bien Dong sea will be able slightly below the normal (14-15 TCs). The number of TCs directly affected Viet Nam will be able 6-7 TCs, equivalent in 2009. TCs are going to concentrate on the second half of the season , particularly at the center and the south of the Center.
-Temperature:
From July to Octorber, temperature is higher than normal . In July and August, some heat waves will be able to affect the North and the northern Center
-Precititation:
The North : Heavy rain period seem to concentrate in the end of July and August. The amount of rainfall will be able around the normal.
The Center:
The northern Center :Below the normal with the deficit of 20-50%. Prevent the possibility of heavy rain from September to November.
The center and the south of Center : Below the normal with the deficit of 20-50% from July to August . Higher than the normal from September to December.
The Central Highlands and South:
Rainfall may be concentrate on the second half of the season. Rainy season will end later than normal.
Rainy season in 2010 will be able later than normal and rainfall will be complex and rainfall period will occur on a large scale and in shorter periods.
